Anaesthesia and Patient Monitoring

We take your pet’s anaesthetic safety very seriously. We recommend that all pets receive intravenous fluids during their anaesthesia. Intravenous fluids help to maintain blood pressure during a surgical procedure and provide emergency vein access. Our highly skilled Veterinary Technicians will continuously monitor your pet’s vital signs during anaesthesia, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and depth of anaesthesia. Depending on the age and health of your pet, additional precautions may be necessary. Pre-anaesthetic blood work or chest x-rays are recommended for some patients. We welcome your questions regarding your pet’s safety while undergoing anaesthesia.
